A Collection for MONKI
This season the Monkis are curious. They want to explore what has not been explored before. From this comes a childish curiosity that looks at the world in a new way. There are no rules anymore and elements that once were banal are now in focus and magnified.
In this second decade of this new millennium everything is overexposed to the point of boredom. Everything that could be discovered is found and everything that could be a mystery is old news. Information is limitless as a result of the Internet. As children we were not exposed to the same amount of information and thus only had our own senses and imagination to guide us forth.
With this collection I want to inspire a return to this childish, explorative state of mind. What would we wear had we not been told how basics were predetermined to look or how they were supposed to be worn together?
